Farmville - a new social experiment

Perfect strangers are glad to add you as a facebook friend as long as you are playing Farmville. My husband has added like 800 people he does not know and I have added like 500 people I don't know.
I and many others have noticed a very interesting phenomenon.Farmville seems to bring out the best in everyone.Farmville players come from every walk of life, rich, middle class, and poor, Democrat and Republican, Conservative and Liberal,Christians,Jews,Muslims,Atheists,Buddhists,Hindus,Agnostics, and even New Age believers. They are Caucasian,African American,Hispanic,Native American,Arab,Asian,Indian,Pakistanis,Israelis,Americans,Mexicans, Russians,Canadians,Africans,Australians,Chinese,Japanese, etc.
My husband and I have friends in every category listed above, and yet not ONE harsh word is ever spoken. No threats,no anger,no insults,no hatred, everyone gets along !
It is not even an issue ! We are all virtual farmers, all playing a game where we have to cooperate in order to advance to the next level, build buildings, get free gifts, etc. It is the one place where we can actually all seem to get along !
If only the real world could be like this.

How bad is your Farmville Addiction ?

I saw an article about a lady going on Dr.Phil claiming she has an addiction to Farmville. He of course thought it was silly, but is it ?
My husband and I share one computer and have gotten into several shouting matches over who stayed on longest and who needs to check their farm first. I am not making this up! I have been playing for several months longer than he has, and we also got into an argument because I became jealous that he had caught up to me and was only one level behind me. He prefers to use most of his page for crops, and squish his animals closely together. I always thought of that as greedy, and like to give mine more room even though that means less crops. I know they are not real, but I have seen animals crammed together in real life, especially cows, and it is very depressing.
Also, I have spent my entire days off doing nothing but Farmville or Mafia Wars, even skipping meals and showers on my days off at my worst, not to mention staying up 36 hours straight once in order to play. I knew I had a problem then and have since disciplined myself to keeping it under 2 hours per day. It really can be an obsession and is mentally addictive !
